Ksenia Sulaeva "Luces de Amor, Lágrimas en Neón"
From June 28 to August 27, Victoria Olt Gallery hosted Ksenia Sulaeva’s emotionally charged exhibition "Luces de Amor, Lágrimas en Neón" ("Lights of Love, Tears in Neon"). This collection of vibrant acrylic paintings explored the full spectrum of human love, from euphoric bliss to heart-wrenching sorrow.
Sulaeva’s bold use of color and sharp black outlines brought the intensity of romantic passion to life. Some pieces celebrated the warmth and abundance of new love, while others depicted melancholic figures shrouded in sorrow, their tears representing the pain of lost or unrequited love. The glowing crystals embedded in these works hinted at the inherent beauty found even in despair, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
The artist herself described love as more than an emotion in her pieces; it was a journey through a landscape of joy, pain, and beauty. This theme resonated throughout the exhibition, offering viewers a deep emotional exploration of love's complexities.
Ksenia Sulaeva calls her painting style "Hopeful art" because despite the concept and idea of each individual painting, all her artworks together look life-affirming and bright. Color and line play a major role in the artist’s works, they were inspired by the artistic means of Pop Art, as well as artworks of art of monumental painting, fresco and mosaic art
