“For the first time, I decided to paint in front of others at an event organized by my friend Wataru, WAHFL. Some of my paintings from the 'Black Sheep' series were also on display, and I spent a long time thinking about why I do this for myself. But this party was one of the most heartwarming experiences: many neurodiverse people had gathered, who related to the 'Black Sheep' theme, and I realized that my anxiety disorder had developed from events where I wasn't accepted. When you are surrounded by people who understand you, even a strange environment can feel pleasant.”
